Spent the weekend + even Monday at 3 different weddings in the north east of England.

3 bloody weddings!! 💒

I met lots of strangers and got lots of startled looks when I explained I make bitcoin videos for a living.

So… I explain.

Then I get the, “no no but what is a bitcoin though?”

How is it 2025 in a “developed” country and people are bewildered by bitcoin.

I forget how big of a bubble we are in, I often forget how damn early we are and that SO MANY PEOPLE still have ZERO IDEA.

It's good, means it's in the zietgiest. Getting a few of these myself. My go to response now is to not orangepill, rather say things like "the projects coming along nicely, it's pretty cool", "you'll end up learning about it at some point I'm sure", then back off. They come back after a short period gagging for an orangepill.

Second this.

Even speaking with techies / devs, most piss themselves over a new version of some framework that in the grand scheme of things doesn't move the needle at all.

Yet when you talk about Bitcoin. most are completely clueless.

Bugs me that many consider themselves "cutting edge" but don't have a clue about the biggest innovation of our generation!
