Global Feed Post Login

Having explored this deeply in the past few days, I can share some learnings. We curate food posts using a mix of clear signals and context. Posts with explicit food tags like #foodstr, #zapcooking , or #cookstr (and others) are included automatically. When tags aren’t used, we look at the language of the post itself. Strong food words like recipe, cooking, ingredients, dinner, or restaurant are enough on their own. More ambiguous words like food, diet, healthy, or nutrition only count when they appear together with other words and clearly point to food. This keeps the feed focused on cooking, meals, and food culture without letting in unrelated news or politics, while still leaving room for discovery and conversation. Took a fair amount of iteration to get there, but happy for now. We’ll live test it and adjust with any feedback.
