If the ability of someone getting your keys is "dependent" on you ticking some box, maybe the keys aren't yours in the first place and that ability is just latent there. Just saying...
As I understood it, I would have to import my keys and it would be split into 3 phrases stored separately. So if I didnt, they wouldn't have them. Admittedly I know fk all though. D'ya reckon Ledger should be swerved in general? What do you use?
Since it’s not open source there’s no way to verify. Recommend Foundation Passport, Seedsigner (both open source) or Coldcard (source viewable)

Yes, the only thing I’m waiting for them to fix is to make the device less easy to tamper with.
Currently it’s possible to replace the chip and the device remains usable.
While a low probability at this point, with the rise of bitcoin and cyber attacks it should not even be possible.
