Yes, a real CLI programm for Linux and Mac terminal. I've actually also built #NoorSigner that way. As a pure CLI app. And took it over to #NoorNote.

Yeah, me too. I actually wanted to make a terminal client at first, but the UI stuff got way too complicated. I just hit a wall at some point; all the libraries out there were kinda crappy and didn't cut it. But I've still got the code lying around somewhere. Who knows, maybe I'll pick that idea back up someday.

I know. But why is this badass? It was just a crappy CLI Nostr client back then.

But that "nothing" has literally just created the greatest demonstration of computational power in history.

Now, the real subject of Vitalik's thread: This power is so enormous that it is beginning to challenge our assumptions about what is "impossible" in cryptography.

If we can do 2^96 in 16 years... what will happen in another 16 years?

Cryptography is based on a gamble: "Some calculations take too long to perform, even with all the computers in the world."

Bitcoin just said, "Hold my beer, here's 2^96." Cryptographers look at this and think, "Okay, we need more margin."

Vitalik and other experts suggest: let's move from 96 bits to 128 bits of security. Why? Because 128 bits = 4 BILLION TIMES more calculations than 96 bits. That's not 30% more. It's FOUR BILLION TIMES more. That's exponential power.

Bitcoin has just proven that:

➥ Humanity can achieve "impossible" things when it works together.

➥ But this power forces us to rethink what is "secure."

My fitness plan:

1- eat real food (99% of the time)

2- walk a minimum of 10k steps a day

3 - lift weights a minimum of 3 times per week. Ideally 6.

4- consistently get good sleep.

5- get sun and grounding whenever possible.

6- avoid drinking more than 1-2 times a month. Never to the point of a hangover the next day.
