If a thief sees a safe he'll think your valuables are in there and might just take that and leave, or waste time trying to open it. For added deception, in case the thief is aware you own "crypto" you can put empty ledgers around the house so he'll think jackpot and leave as well.

Friend of mine does that with single sig and I was like dude are you for fucking real. On top of that, it's a ledger so he's extra vulnerable lol. I tried to warn him plenty of times about the dangers but oh well
Yeah I would never ever do that. You are right to warn him. But maybe as one of many multi sig storage solutions I would consider it.
