Trying out a self hosted nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfmHub on my nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll - side loaded from GitHub because it's not in the marketplace yet. Also linked it to nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5!

My 2 cents

Very good design!

Managing nostr app connections is easy (app store)

Node management UI makes it easy to see status/health of channels, making other complicated tools less necessary

I'm currently just a bit nervous with automated channel closures (happened to others, not me)

The other pain point right now is apparently we need to keep the web app opened and signed in at all time otherwise for ln address payments. That's my understanding after chatting with support. I suspect this is why I'm missing some zaps from time to time.

Alby has very strong foundations, future is now!

no need to be nervous! the worst thing is that you will have to wait a few days until your sats are available as onchain balance

BUT with the Alby Cloud subscription our plan is that it's taken care of and you'll always have a channel to receive. Even if it closes a new one will be opened for you. So no worries.

That is only the case if you use the Desktop app. If you use the a cloud or pi version then you don't need to keep the web app open. The node will keep running in the background.
