They are mentally ill. No normal men or women should desire to have sex with kids because there is no procreation possible therefore is not useful for nature and awful for moral.

No. A normal person doesn't have sexual attraction for a child. I don't have sexual attraction even for 25 years old already.. children... please
I recognize a fairly predictable fraction of every society on earth will have mental disorders (like schizophrenia and sociopathy for example). But perhaps this applies to abnormal / misdirected sexual attraction too? And nobody talks about it or studies it? Or maybe they do but it doesn’t come up in psychiatry so I haven’t ever heard about the scientific literature on the subject?
Child sex trafficking is more profitable than the drug trade. Let what I just typed sink in.
Assuming this is true, it only explains why some people would traffic kids (to make profits), but it doesn’t explain the motives behind the sex itself.
For example, if you told me that eating fecal material from midgets from mars was highly profitable, I could understand why one would be a seller of Martian midget dung, but I still can’t understand why people would eat it.
Anyhow, this is creepy shit that apparently happens with defenseless people. Perhaps we need to make children not defenseless.
Don’t have a great answer for you. I just know the appetite for it amongst some people is obviously high.
Brain damage, mental disorder, and novelty seeking after exhausting every other pleasurable activity one can do are my top three potential explanations.
And that assumes there is a desire for sex; it could be one just wants to be a complete asshole to someone in the meanest most harmful way possible and that it has nothing to do with sex.

Are you meaning ages? I would look at it as adult vs. Child; I’m not interested in the edge cases and legal definitions.

My best advice: marriage before sex avoids all of these issues.
I did that, 17 years of marriage and now 40 with 2 kids and I found the midlife crisis from fundamental differences. Would like permission to start new relationship with 25 year old who appears more compatible but I fear age gap might cause discomfort socially
Meh. No marriage is perfect. Rather each is marriage is specifically imperfect for each person. It is in working through these imperfections that we grow and mature.
A young woman, or any other woman, may seem desirable because there are no imperfections yet in the relationship. But it’s a matter of time.
I’m of the belief that any man and any woman could marry and have a happy loving relationship. But it takes work.
I thought I'd be married forever at the start but I experienced severe burn out from constant demands, criticism and minimising of my needs which was amplified by work demands too. I was stuck in bed for 3 months then realized I am missing out on life as I'll always fail to convince these ppl to take me seriously. I'm happier building this new relationship and working on communicating needs earlier. Also person is male which speaks to the radical change I'm seeking
i have my theories but it would take too long for a comment. but basically, it is not just for pleasure. in some (or many) cases, it is deployed intentionally to fracture the victim’s psyche and thus make him (or her) easier to manipulate for executing all the horrendous societal constructs we all (or a lot of us) have to suffer through daily and worldwide. it is part of a system of control. it is researched, it is tested, it is modified and it is done with awareness and intent. so you will unfortunately have to wake up.

I’m utterly shocked to see ancient writing about child rape. But clearly there is something persistently wrong and common enough in humanity that it was, even in ancient times, worth the time to formalize and write rules down about…even if those rules seem more about passively condoning rape than fully condemning it.
Stoning didn’t stop this in ancient times. Can we stop it in modern times?

I’m surprised in the extra Biblical Hebrew writings they make such fine distinctions regard age…for example, declaring 9 years old as old enough to be executed for having sex with a kid but under 9 not a death penalty offense. I can see why these aren’t part of the Bible, but still, WTF?
i appreciate you taking the time to read. let me please add a point because even the author of the times israel article purposely tried to confuse it: these are NOT biblical writings. these are the babylonians who are spoken about in the bible. these are not the tribes of israel. this is a separate group of people that follow matrilineal not patrilineal lineages. and i pointed out the psych reference to show these practices continue to this day. in any case, if you are interested in religion there was a split between coptic & constantine christians. the catholics come out of this barbarity. and are close to these talmudist rabbi groups. i don’t understand it all either.
I’m no ancient scholar either, but it’s obvious these are extra-biblical by content alone. It would be like mother Theresa’s guide to cooking meth, it wouldn’t make sense.
All that said, sex with kids is inherently wrong, even if there are old writings obliquely implying it’s not all that bad…Just like murder or theft is inherently wrong.
How does one prevent this? I suppose parents are a big part of it, but sometimes they are the problem. The whole thing is angering…
I won’t get into a discussion of which texts are biblical and which are Satanic. Those Talmudic quotes are not in the bible. The most complete bible is the Ethiopian/Eritrean Coptic in Ge’ez—it is also the oldest known to be found. Look at Ge’ez script and look at Hebrew & Greek and you tell me which looks original and oldest and which looks derivative from it. As to how we end it: yes, parents are part of the problem. They are either social climbers and willingly pit their children in these networks (see: Catholics) or too busy and unaware and think they are being given an opportunity (think: Gifted and Talented) or they are a part of the network. Understanding it is happening is one step forward, second is believing victims who are brave enough to discuss it not their abusers who discredit them, and third is exposing the abusers.
