Had to upgrade the RAM on my test VM to compile Strfry. Not sure if I'm the one cheaping out on the VM specs or Strfry is just heavy to compile 😂

I ran into same issue on my vm. Had to reduce the number of threads and it worked.
I have 8 CPU and 8gb ram and strfry is working fine, it uses 1.7gb for 3k connections
I think strfry already has docker container image (ghcr.io) published in latest release (Merged PR). You can probably use it.
