Just a reminder that nostr.sovbit.host is available to the public (for a price) and also available over Tor at :

xorh6p4fcfj2rtexfeo2cwlqabdbckm3wdcozwbgwtjy366cb5vvcfqd.onion

I2P is still not working right as SSL is not something needed over I2P so I think I either need to swap from I2Pd to the Java version. Or figure out a way to conditionally let non SSL traffic through Nginx. Still testing.

Id love to chat with some people who know I2P more than I do as I think I2P would be more useful than Tor for nostr.

Why do nostr websockets require SSL?

It’s not required

Then I don't understand why #[3] is having an issue with it 😅.

Isitt something to do with mixing SSL and non-ssl traffic due to using the i2p node as an outproxy?

Should definitely expose port 80 with onion, not port 443

Ok mabey im going about this all wrong. Thanks.

I need like a week of sleep to refresh my brain. Frick.

Normally when I proxy a site to I2P I set up tunnel to listen to a port on my localhost then use nginx to serve it.

Currently It *can* reach the server over I2P but i'm getting ye ol 403 forbidden. I thought I had checked permissions correctly but i'm starting to think I overlooked something dumb.

I will get this figured out damn it.

works every time ;) love the ‘The IT Crowd’

Ive never see this show but as the only "IT" guy in my entire company running an ITAR complaint network for a mess of non tech savvy people the amount of times this fixes things is fucking scary lol
