Remember when they banned plastic straws and now they sell paper straws in plastic covering that get soggy and cause cancer.
Discussion
And now I read that paper straws contain more potentially toxic 'forever chemicals' than plastic.

I like when restaurants use these thin disposable bamboo straws, because they donβt fall apart after 5 min in your drink and Iβm guessing they wonβt get stuck in turtle π’ noses?
They are not as smooth as plastic straws, they feel kind of like a cheaper plastic straw, but itβs not disturbing.
Jup. That's why I said they cause cancer.
Bamboo is better, I think metal is best in terms of chemicals, but many people don't like them because meh metal on teeth which I can understand.
Oh sorry yeah you did mention they cause cancer π«£ I just jumped to post because I saw someone chatting on paper straws π and I hate them with a passion too π so just responded and was not connecting dots hehe.
I have metal and glass straws at home. I donβt mind using them (glass feels less strange on the teeth Iβll admit), but I hate cleaning them and having them stand straight on the kitchen counter for some time to dry π₯΅
