who uses Shopify? I often here that word but I've never met anyone who uses that site in Canada. Everyone uses Amazon. Must be used in other countries?

It's usually obfuscated from the end user. Direct to customer type web stores - merch, clothing, trading cards, art, makeup, etc.
For the business they get pre made shipping labels, analytics, connect with customers, etc.
Also - it's a Canadian company. 🇨🇦
when the internet first started everyone had their own store on their website but these days everyone is buying from Amazon,
I have seen some stores have their own shop on their website but it's rare because Amazon usually has the product.
