Within 2 mins I am doubting myself, sucked into a sales funnel for a podcast product I don’t need
Then I am watching a reel about something else that I apparently need
God IG annoys me
So additive
Triggers all the most annoying things
And most of all gets me buying things I don’t need
Deleted again
Since getting on Nostr, my instagram time is near 0. And i haven’t even noticed the absence until people in real life asked me if i had seen what they sent me.
While using it, it feels like you need it, like it’s providing value to your life.
After some time off of it, you don’t even notice it’s gone. But really, i’ve probably gotten 10x the value back from the time i’ve spent away from that hellhole of a platform

I used Telegram and X for the past few years to stay up on news/politics, which I had never done in my life until Covid. For the first time in 50 years, society became dangerous enough that I had to know what they were up to.
Thankfully, that has passed. I stopped Telegram/X and stay exclusively on Nostr. That has been life-changing.
I can proudly say the US Government was shutdown for three days before I even knew it!

I can't even open traditional social media now. It's pure poison. It's revolting.
Nostr is full of other high-performers living their lives to the fullest. It's rich and fun. I'm finding fascinating people daily and buying all-natural, handmade products from families working from home, using Bitcoin.
It's a slice of the online world the way it should be.
I love the idea of vibing off people living life to the max
