Yeah, in general I hate bridges, but the network effects of GitHub are so large it might require data portability

Keep talking it out.

There’s multiple layers of this. There’s no need to replace Git, it’s already decentralized. Just need to add the repository discoverability, social layer (comments, issue tracking, and pull requests, linking to blocks of code), and a UI on top. This is totally doable and so much potential to unlock. I don’t have the capacity to take it on but am looking forward to seeing what comes from other developers.

Perhaps we’ll see exciting things soon:
