one of my pet peeves is stupid words that don't really fit and are gramatically incorrect, but people are using them because other people are using them, in programming, that should be a red flag for someone who has some problems with architecture because otherwise they would have the accurate words that people use who actually understand the bigger picture

the word is "errored"

error is a noun

you can't past tense a noun, it becomes something else, like "body" or "man" becomes "corpse" when it is past tense

you don't say "erred" either because to err is human

yes, an error in a program is supposed to mean a human made a mistake, but never mind that

it didn't "errored" it FUCKING FAILED and anyone who uses "errored" has FUCKING FAILED at impressing me with their ability to use language, and if they are programmers, then idk what to say, what's that stuff you guys write?

oh yeah, FUCKING LANGUAGE

you can't magically turn nouns into verbs, there is no such thing as past tense of a noun

🤬

The maps of meaning are discarding their fiat shackles with every pedant willing to make a stand.
