I will love to read ling form answers:

What makes a working environment better than others?

Asked differently, why have you stayed? Why did you leave?

What would do if you had the power to create a great environment to excel?

I am here to learn.

Thank you!

Toxic, passive-aggressive & absolutely dishonest personnel can destroy the most luxurious & fancy environment in the blink of an eye.

Absolutely!

Do you feel this can be managed or improved through team open communications? Or would you say, it starts at the candidate screening level?

It can only be managed if the person being like that has a personal issue, they actually want to sort out in all honesty.

If that person does not even admit & recognise there is an issue, which is too often the case, there is no other way than to avoid that person.

However, sorting out that issue would probably be a therapy & not a job thing.

As to the candidate screening level, I'm not sure whether it would work in reality.

In theory, you just need a person, who is really really really great at reading people, to be able to sort out the toxic ones. Done deal.

However, in reality, you probably have to abide weird laws, so the not accepted one's cannot sue or something. I'm not a lawyer & it's different for every country, but I definitely do now, that more & more laws like that are making their way into daily work lives.

So, I imagine, that if you constantly weed out bad personnel like that, it would seem like, the reasons were arbitrary, from the eyes of the law.

Again, just a guess though. I'm not sure about those laws.

If you have to lie to your boss to not make him lash out at you about some random mistake, his company deserves to go bankrupt, because he's not a good leader & does not promote the best in you.

This makes a lot of sense. Openness through every step is key. Willingness to work together through obstacles.

I appreciate your response and I wish you much success and joy at work!

Thanks, you too.

Do you have answers to your own questions, though? šŸ˜‰

Thank you for asking back.

I am a thirteen year veteran leading small groups.

Some of the reasons include feeling certain autonomy when approaching goals and challenges. I can gauge how prepared we are, how much more training we need to get there and how much time is appropriate to achieve goals.

My boss gets an action plan, asks questions, makes suggestions, then we are let loose.

There is little to no need for micro managing.

Other aspects include realistic goals, genuinely caring for our customers with a passion, respecting individual values at every level, at all times with all seriousness.

I give credit to good leaders all the time.

I can honestly say that good leaders find a way to bring out the best in us, while poor leaders help us hit the door fast!

The people I work with.

Sounds like you appreciate those around you at the office!

I’d like to learn about how you and your team got to that good place!
