Read, Write, Own is a super book. As you mention, it’s not blockchains and tokens that will solve the problem - it’s nostr and ecash. These are the missing ingredients that only came to the fore in the past couple of years. I think he is still missing those ingredients, but we do understand the significance of them. Further, we need to make it clear that these systems exist despite the legal system, though their legal effect will vary between jurisdictions.
The legal angle is incredibly important; it's the pinnacle of building it right and making it last.

So who's legal system has jurisdiction of the internet? No one. So make protocols broad and open. The laws will either follow the code or try and capture it. Clearly the former is better than the later.
