Hopefully it stops soon. We had some 20 miles from me a couple years ago. None closer. I hope it doesn’t come back but I was just reading an article about the sheriff’s department for that county training up for anti riot stuff.
I'm glad to hear nothing by you 💜. This may sound cliche but hate isn't natural, it's taught to us. Starting from the top at the government/institutional level, all the way down. If it's possible to shrink these control structures then I believe we will significantly reduce civilian violence as well as state violence.
💜🫂💯🙏🏽 misinformation is so dangerous. There have been tensions building for a while but I’m not sure why as the media is only covering what they want it seems. Things all kicked off after the murder of three young children. Absolutely heartbreaking. But the murderer isn’t an illegal immigrant, he’s British I believe. It’s okay if they’re upset about illegal immigration too, but for a strong argument they aught to check the facts. If you’re gonna say it with your chest, do your homework. Don’t assume someone’s an illegal immigrant cos they’re black. I hate what he did to those girls and that he hurt so many people. I hate that people are setting fire to Mosques, cars and peoples homes and throwing beer bottles at the police as a result. That’s exactly what the media want a picture of and it’s cruel and terrifying behaviour. But I also hate that the media aren’t being unbiased and showing the peaceful side, and that the police are arresting people for having an opinion. I don’t agree with some things said, but they have a right to say it. It’s not an easy topic to navigate and I think there are shades of grey. I think people just want to know that their home still cares about them. Some may well be racist or a little sus (things are a little different outside of London) but I think the majority have good intentions. There is no place for violence on either side. Makes me sad to see 😞
Makes me sad to see too dear. Media is just a business and they will show whatever gets them the most money (usually fear and hate) and I can't really fault them for that, it's incumbent upon us to not feed that beast and remember that believing their manipulation allows them to control us.
