Was doing carnivore since the new year.

Decided to eat pizza last night because I saw #[0] talk about indulging occasionally.

NEVER. AGAIN.

Literally made me sick. 🤮 overnight. Elevated RHR. Elevated respiratory rate. Fever. HRV through the floor.

To be fair, I didn’t make the pizza myself so ingredients were dubious at best. But won’t be trying that food again ever.

Only myself to blame. Will be WAY more selective when trying food to see how my body reacts.

You can’t enjoy pizza? Maybe you have some other kind of underlying health issue?

Nah. Most like all the processed garbage in the pizza. Could be the dough. Or cheese. Or seed oils. Or some combination. Won’t try it again for a while.

Ughh so sorry to hear it, but fantastic that you are getting in tune with listening to your body.

Im like this with sweets. Patients are always bringing us baked goodies and the last time I ate a frosted cookie someone brought, I actually got dizzy, shaky and nauseous. Never again as you said.

We make our pizza at home most of the time. Much easier to control the ingredients.

Wild what happens when you’re paying attention to how good affects you

Levelling out the signal:noise

From carnivore to pizza is a big leap

For sure. Wasn’t my brightest idea.

Is a journey fren 🫂

Have you been strictly meat or do you also include fruits and vegetables in your carnivore diet?

this is NOT the way

What is your preferred way fren?

tater tots ser

🤤

Might have to duck around with tater tots next time.

(haha autocorrect?) order tater tots and call 911 at the same time

🤝

hope you get well soon and become more resilient ser 🤝

I am thinking about trying that, too. But, you have to be fair that the sudden change from one extreme to the other just triggers a strong reaction from the body naturally. I assume the first two weeks of switching to only meat had also their side-effects? That being said, you might have just found something to avoid in the future.

If you want to do it properly, don't jump into a pizza right away. Start with something like plain potatoes or plain pasta.

Definitely won’t do a drastic shift next time. And yea, first two weeks were… liquid. But I expected that from doing keto in the past. Beyond that, it’s been smooth sailing until today. Had some peanut butter once and no big reaction.
