I think I know the reason why the atmosphere on Nostr is SOOO much better than on Twitter. It’s BECAUSE it doesn’t pay to be an idiot!! Bad behaviour is NOT rewarded, and with every post, you’re incentivised to BEHAVE yourself…maybe someone will zap you some SATs. You’re incentivised to share useful info, make someone laugh or help someone out…as they may shoot you 100sats. These sats add up and it’s hard to let go of your SATs for no good reason.

I think Nostr is onto a winner here…made possible by:

1) Bitcoin

2) Lightning

3) Nostr

The pieces are coming together.

If you’re not thinking of ways to build on top of ₿itcoin and Nostr, then I don’t know what you’re doing with your free time.

Give it time. It'll happen here too once it gets popular enough. It was the same thing on Twitter in the early days too.

Maybe I’m just projecting myself in the above 😂

But essentially, receiving SATs is just sooo much more meaningful than a ‘thumbs up’ 👍

But I think plagiarism would be more of a thing here in Nostr, as everyone wants the SATs. The why ‘repost’ when you can ‘re-post’ it as your own lol 😂

People will also eventually be incentivized to post things that get most reactions (like on Twitter) either ones that reaffirm biases so your “tribe” will like things with sats, or anger ppl on other side, because those reactions can lead to more eyeballs and more sats.
