At $15 an hour or !!even less!! … even at $20 an hour, you have people that face homelessness and/or no way to own a working car in the current economy. Could you live off $500 a week? Right. And it’s becoming so normalized. I had a job (that I quit) where I was helping run an ops team in manufacturing. Got a raise from $18 to $20 from a boss that ended up sexually harassing me after the raise and I was becoming one of his inner circle. I absolutely quit. It was so demeaning and the work was demanding. Thank god I have a good side hustle. But wtaf?! Bleak.
