#AUStriches are going to be monitored in all new cars from 2026, with 2024 Mitsubishi Triton’s rolling out in-vehicle cameras first.
This dystopia is so fucking boring.

This dystopia is so fucking boring.
Will driver-facing cameras be mandatory in heavily armored Komatsu D355A bulldozers?
Few
Crazy...
Guess they never heard about black tape... For this black mirror dystopia 🤬
Presumably it will be an offence to operate the car with the camera blocked or otherwise rendered useless.
An opportunity to impose $1000+ fines is never passed up by Australian parasites
Interested to learn about the cameras, and their cables.
Rick-rolling returns!
Jack the feed you reckon?
Trying to think through how they could enforce this, some manner of livestream picked up by cop cars on the road or something?
Straight to your insurance so they can deny your claim.
"See in this clip where both hands weren't on the wheel? Sorry, this goes against our policy"
Oh yeah, now we’re talking!
Insurers requiring mandatory 5 minute breaks every 30 minutes else you’re in breach of policy - can’t even drive to work without a stop if you want to be insured 😂
Those billboards that say drowsy drivers die now shows a live feed of you as you drive by and tells you if you're tired 😂☠️
Welp, looks like the dystopian is the reality 🤮
Fuck these companies, dystopia for cheaper insurance isn’t a tradeoff people are willing to make but they’re given no choice
I was having discussion with my wife two nights ago, about the surveillance state transitioning from ctv cameras to car cameras.
Why have obvious static ctv cameras in everyone's faces, when you can have invisible 360 degree moving cameras on sleek modern cars?
Robotaxis will be the best tool for surveillance, next to our phones.
Yup government regulations driving up costs of vehicles with added surveillance in the name of "safety"
This trend is accelerating everywhere
Hope someone finds a way to disable those cameras while preventing the car from disabling itself.
