I've always considered this guy a pest. It creeps up the trees. It seems like it would be detrimental to the trees growth. Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe it is beneficial.
Changing the way one views the world is not an easy task. I'm hoping that learning more about permaculture will teach me to view things more holisticly.
Any thoughts on honeysuckle?

I use it to provide shade for the chicken run. It’s not toxic like some other climbing vines and it smells great.
