in the past, if you would have told people a nation would arise that defended the rights of the people, and would become so prosperous the average citizen would be fat, they would have laughed at you and asked, “what’s a right?”

I find it interesting how borders as we know today are a new concept

In 1900 you could pass from one country to another without a passport and be just be fine

The Romans used to protect their borders against other armies, not individuals
