Yeah that's what I meant by zapping the developer of the client who's doing the zapping. Presumably they're zapping from the client that they read the note on.
Elsirion does raise a valid point in that it could cause some undesirable incentives to occur.
I personally like things to be transparent. I would prefer my zap to error, rather than quietly go to a developer wallet. I also tend to be more generous with devs than plebs posting memes & thoughtful notes.
Such an initiative should certainly be coded to be transparent.
