A simple gun on your hip is infinitely more useful than your fancy gun in your safe at home. Don't over think it. Get something small and comfortable to carry. Everything else is secondary, when choosing a gun.

Get something that fits your hand, that *you* shoot well with. If it's also comfortable to carry, that's a bonus.

Those are nice to haves, but 99% of people will not continue to carry something that isn't comfortable for very long. You can train to shoot well with any gun. If you want to arm the masses, get them to pick something comfortable to carry.

A gun you have with you is infinitely more useful than your favorite fun you left sitting at home.
