I think I found a ghost in the machine. 👻⚙️

On Damus I sometimes see a mysterious note with no pubkey and no note ID that says “hello there cool” followed by two images.

It comes from an account only named pk:pk.

This is the content:

{"pubkey":"pk","content":"hello there https:\/\/jb55.com\/s\/Oct12-150217.png https:\/\/jb55.com\/red-me.jpg cool","id":"","created_at":1679480775,"sig":"","kind":1,"tags":[]}

It looks like a test post from #[0] that appears at random times. Has anyone else seen it?

Yes! 🐶🐾🫡

I have seen it when I click on the Meme of the Day from Nostr Report. When I back out and click on it again, I see the meme. It’s weird

Satoshi?!?!?!?

Found these in Damus’s code repository

Ah…so it’s hardcoded, as I suspected! 🔍

I think I fixed these already… you on testflight?

We see the same occasionally when clicking on a Damus.io/noteID link (yes TestFlight)

Hmm ok thx

Hmm OK how, Will?

Is that Hilary Obama dissing Egyptians when synthesis is a miracle?

🤭

Contrary to popular opinion, synthesis makes measuring the value of intelligence quite easy.

🫂

Yep, TestFlight 4 life.

Beta is better 🙃

I see this too when someone sends me a damus.io web link to a note
