I recently ended a friendship of 8 years because my friend kept cheating on her boyfriend with married men.
it's really against everything I believe in..
cheating and going after someone who is already in a committed relationship is so disgusting...

I'm OK, I tried to get her on the "right path" and after I spent so much energy on it i decided she won't change and I made peace with it..
Losing a friend is never easy. However, having friends with different values can be just as difficult.

I did something similar when a close friend cheated on his GF in the friend group. He thought that, as he had been our friend first, he would get to stick around.
He was solely mistaken. We don't tolerate that bullshit and now his GF continued to be a core part of our friend group and I had a conversation with him explaining that we will were essentially separating from him.
