I'm in Bitcoin to do commerce. Goods for money.

But so many people expect me to do gifts. Goods for promotion.

I understand the game. But I guess it's not the kind of game I want to play.

I am having a lot of difficulty to work with bigger players in the industry. I'm probably meant to build my own thing on my side.

It's gonna be small but it's gonna be good.

It's always gimmicks man. I don't understand anything about business or art. I just want to make good stuff for people who can value it.

I started relying too much in my hopes of partnerships with people but I have to go back on relying on nothing more than myself and what I want to create.

Do what you do best, take care of your customers, listen to their feedbacks and needs.

Your reputation of principled and outstanding craftsmanship will speak for itself.

I really feel you. It's tough when what you care about—creating real value—gets overshadowed by games that don't align with who you are. Doing things right, even on a small scale, means a lot. Sticking to your vision without selling out is brave and honest. Keep going—those who truly value what you do will find you.

Just look at it as an investment. There’s a risk/reward for any type of investment. Some people have a higher risk appetite than others and are more comfortable with investing more.

Just pick an amount that you want to invest in marketing each month, any number. Then try out different strategies to learn about the cost/benefit. It’s a learning process, but knowing how to effectively do marketing is incredibly valuable.

The thing is that those people are the ones I am looking to sell too. My .marketing was successful in attracting them but they assume I want marketing from them.

I understand it can't be beneficial to invest in marketing. But I am not looking to invest in millionaires for marketing. I measure my success in on-chain transactions I can establish with them.

I also simply genuinely didn't have the means to make such investments. When I do have the means to invest in marketing I don't think it will be that way. More likely I will be sponsoring small Bitcoin meet ups.

Ok, so they come to you expecting free stuff? That doesn’t seem genuine.

This is what I have come to guess. I've talked about some issues I've had to certain people and I was told they probably expected free stuff in exchange of the promotion it would've given me, which can be fair I understand but it isn't what I'm looking for. People tell me the same thing you did. "Look at it as an investment". I understand the strategy it's fair. But again, at the time it isn't what I was looking for.

But I could be missing something and I shouldn't vent my frustration over this so openly.

It’s good to have these kinds of discussion with other creators imo
