It'll do that. But it might be a bit overcomplicated for your needs. How is the site hosted?
You could get away with just logging webserver requests, but I'm assuming that's not viable for you. Barring that, you need _some server_ to keep a tally of js-triggered counters based on page views, so there's only SO lightweight it can be. Something somewhere has to keep track...
