I was listening to this cover of Spanish Bombs and misheard a lyric in the second verse as, ‘Back in the Basque, they talk in flashes.’ It brought back a memory of meeting a stranger at a bar in Barcelona in 2017. He was from the Basque and shared stories about his home, his life, and eventually the conflict. He came from a family of proud Basque nationalists and expressed sympathy for the ETA bombings. At the time, I found it fascinating because I had never heard about it before. I remember thinking, ‘One day, I want to read and learn more about this.’

Ok.
Just beware you are entering stormy waters... as they are very different things fighting a civil war against fascism than bombing police and elected officials in a democracy.
I have been living the 'conflict' my whole life. So I know different people and views. I, myself, have changed my views through the years, as I have found several people arguing they were "fighting fascism" and not realizing they had indeed became the fascists themselves.
Nationalism is a shitcoin.
