Meh, you are not entirely wrong, but there is a phenomenon of moral outrage that seems to emerge only when a problem is solved well enough to make every coward feel safe in being outspoken about it. It's only when everyone already generally agrees that the weakest people feel safe in being loud about something in tones of moral righteousness. But then they tend to twist it in a way to magnify the problem or prevent it from actually going away, so that they can continue to use it as a bludgeon to attack others & increase their relative social status.
