Just wanted to share: I'm switching my main video platform to Rumble from here forward.

Until #nostr provides a viable alternative and also becomes a comparable network, this is where you'll have the highest likelihood of finding my work. I'll still be on Youtube, but I don't think of them as a reliable platform, especially considering the discussions I enjoy. The thought police will not have trouble finding "wrongthink" in my conversations.

Migration has only just started, so any help in sharing, following, etc you can give is a huge help. Bootstrapping new networks is a pain in the ass 😂🙏🏻💜

And in the youtube terms of service there is (or atleast was) a part, according to which there is no guarantee that the viewer will see the content as it was given by the person uploading it.

As in if youtube wanted to, they may at will modify the content into needs suitable to theirs.

Mostly assumably such is meant for the prosessing and packing of the vids, but it leaves a loophole for them to be modified or altered into anything.

Not that this will make you think, Rumble may be shut down in the UK. Considering we are so up the arse of the US, they may well do the same thing.

Is there a reason you lead your suggestion with this? 😆

In the future, if you actually want someone to take your advice I recommend not starting it with what sounds like a thinly veiled insult for no reason at all, lol.

I'm actively looking for alternatives to YT. So if you have any good options I'm more than happy for the suggestions. But otherwise this is a fair point worth considering. I appreciate it. 😁

I see your point. I hear the noise surrounding you but I don't follow such things blindly. If I ever meet you in person, I will make my judgement then. It was more a feeling that, as a busy bloke, you probably wouldn't reply. Thank you for that, btw.

This is (almost) the only social media I partake in. Telegram is the other. My skills at using these platforms are dulled by ignorance and "cockney" banter. I feel that social media has been a cancer to society. My hope is this space will be different.

I guess, for those that have businesses in the bitcoin space (and other spaces) that SM is a necessity for the brand. If you are not worried about exposure, I would have thought, the only honest platform is here?

FYI - If you search Guy Swann or The Guy Swann, no results. You only come up with exact user name match. I have struggled to find people on Rumble without having a direct link.

I hate YouTube but I can’t get down with Rumble. Too much crazy MAGA shit for my taste. Can’t we just have one decent video streaming option for the plebs? This seems like a priority for nostr.
