Why do you need to reach out to former workplace proximity associates?!

In case I need a job one day. I found my last job through a connection I used to work with 11 years prior! But that’s a bad example because I didn’t reach out to her on LinkedIn because I had her contact info.
Those connections you speak of should be stronger than social media. IMO you would have their contact info and not need the application to assist you in that regard. I was in the same situation during Covid and got my job from my previous boss also 11-12 years prior. Just my two sats anyways!
