Probably works. Foot massages are next level.
definitely can vouch for massage to fix some problems. i've heard in Asia it's just accepted treatment in addition to forest bathing.
i had some sciatica that disappeared after a massage. i'm not a fan of massages but i was desperate. it worked somehow.
There's a temple in Bangkok where monks give free massages. So I got my free massage!
In Korea, in my first adventure, I got really sick - which is normal for a first adventure. They gave me some weird seeds and ginger tea - I could feel my head and throat moving as it rearranged itself and healed within seconds of taking the traditional medicine.
