Yes, it is possible to RBF with a completely new transaction with different addresses.

Unfortunately it is a mess to set up the tools required for it nostr:note1k0kkyl7mhmkgzvxy0atm7pt0cmyy89spmp2lqdyl9eu50zug4k5q6c39pa

Just truc it

Question for you if I may be so bold, as you're likely a leading authority here.

Hypothetical situation:

-I’m running my own LN node.

-I put out some kind of zap-this-note-to-unlock offering. (Zap this note 1k sats and you get some shizzle.)

-There is a 1k zap showing on Nostr on the relevant note from npub X

-I didn’t see the zap land in my node and do not give npub X the aforementioned shizzle.

-npub X complains that the zap is legit and I’m screwing them over. A few bandwagon jumpers join the tread and I feel I have to clear my name.

Question:

Is there anything I can show to the wider Nostr world to clear my name and prove that npub X's zap is not legit, given I have access to all the node data, I have the zap receipt event (which I presume contains the signed request event)? Or no matter what I can show it's always going to be a case of my word against theirs?

Or is this kind of spoofing not relevant in this case—npub X just wouldn't have been able to spoof-zap me at all had I set things up right? (Only an issue if the zapper and the zapee are both untrusted, etc.)

Thanks!

zap receipt is published by your node after receiving it

so the zapper cannot dispute a zap that they sent but got no receipt for

but the zappee cannot get fake zapped

Nice thanks!
