It also depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Not ending up like this poor fucker is priceless. "Look ma no hands" lol. No feet either..🐒😅😂🤣😭🤧😫💀⚱️😊

I feel like when I post something on nostr I have 1 minute for it to be seen or it goes into the never. Typical I will get one or 2 likes almost instantly, then nothing. I don't believe everyone only scrolls 5 minutes deep in their timeline. Is it that we are more prone to press like on the first story then just scroll? Is it a client issue displaying notes? Ordo people post pity likes on notes without many reactions?

Right I feel that and I don’t necessarily know the answer. But it’s why I was asking not too long ago about being able to “pin” or “highlight” notes at the top of our profiles for visibility. I like the feature on primal to look at “most zapped” or other most popular but would be cool to make “lists” like I used to on Twitter to filter my feed to see certain people to catch up with. Idk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I think without algorithms nostr will always be a 'flatter' social network. This is both a feature and a bug.

The benefit is that every note is equal and has to be organically good to get shared and for the user to gain followers.

The downside is that many good notes are lost.

An ecosystem of open source algorithms may be the solution to let users choose their filter. But this introduces gaming of the algorithm and a less authentic experience.

You can pin a note to the top of your profile feed using Snort. Not sure what clients will display the pinned note on your profile though. You can create custom feeds on Coracle.
