They had just dished up breakfast and then had to make an emergency landing so quickly whipped away our trays and chucked the food…there was nothing but pretzels and vodka/whiskey miniatures handed around for the rest of the time we were on the plane. Exceptional circumstances and very harrowing day - everyone was just kind and patient to one another.

I lived in Manhattan at the time. My apt. was filled with everyone who couldn't go home and it was very stressful.
