NOSTRGRAM UPDATE - NOTE SIGNATURES

You can now (optionally) add a short (80 characters or less), one-line signature to your notes (including a link but not image or media links). Make it a favorite quote or a (non-spammy) link to your website.

**SPAM WARNING** I promise you that if you use this feature to spam you will just get yourself blocked and muted, so keep it classy folks.

Refresh NostrGram to get the update. You can see an example of the signature option below this post. A long dash is put above the signature.

Ugh I should have mentioned that you configure your signature in Settings ⚙️ under the Note Signature options.

Not really my cup of tea, since my eyes keep getting drawn to the link instead of the note contents.

Still cool that clients can add specific features like this

I'm thinking that of having that as an option in the Settings. Makes sense to me.

Interesting. I don't know if all of my responses need a signature, but maybe longer notes that are over a certain character limit would.

I'm thinking through that as well, since for short responses I personally don't think I'd want one. Maybe just on first posts? I'll be giving this some thought.

I like the idea of first post sigs much more than length of post sigs. That way you can be sure your sig gets posted on at least your first post every time. If it's a message like "I'll be offline for a week" or something like that instead of a website link, you don't want it to be intermittent.
