That's an Afghan rug John, it goes on the floor, not round your neck🙄. I was once in India and bought my mother a Kashmir "Thing" with tassels on it, it was neither a rug nor a scarf, more a, shawl. That's it, it was a shawl. Like a Victorian kind of apparel.
