Doesnt' it involve same (and more) muscles as pushups do?

Yes, it involves a pushup type motion. But it doesn't build strength as well as actual strength exercises. And it could help with cardio, but doesn't mimic a useful motion like running or swimming. It's basically motion for the sake of motion. Shit that suburban moms can tell people they suffer through. Like I said, the crossfit of exercises.
