One study I saw recently claimed that there was a sharp decrease in the mental acuity of programmers after relying heavily on AI generating code for a period of months.

One issue with AI writing code is it becomes more difficult to debug when things go wrong because the “developer” knows less about the design of the code that AI generated.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, I don’t think you are, but just be careful with relying too much on AI for coding as eventually the codebases will change so much that human programmers won’t know how it works.

I understand that, but I don't think it matters beyond the short term transition phase.

Eventually we'll get to a point where we just throw away applications and reprompt them like it's nothing.

Spoiler, we're already doing that at nostr:nprofile1qqs8sxs4yuz47axp7uprpugrs3sfkdz5379tdg9xe2n5qfvz070a4egprdmhxue69uhkwmr9v9ek7mnpw3hhytnyv4mz7un9d3shjqg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhx6mmnw3ezuur4vgzaq60d.
