Blowater has this testing kind-1 browsing & search feature which is interesting to use but it's not the focus of this product. I decide to remove it.

Profile & note discovery is still an important feature but I indent to implement it in another way. The focus for this month is still the Encrypted Group Chat! We will revisit the kind-1 and broader feed building feature in the future.

Don't revisit, keep it focused and make blowater the best DM/chat client in existence. I recently removed public chat from Coracle — losing focus was a costly mistake.

Yes, I saw your post.

The 3 months long kind-1 experiment has been a great learning experience.

The problem I want to solve here is not really kind-1 feed. It's more like feed building or generic search / note descovery. I don't intend to build "write" feature for kind-1 or 30023. I don't even indent to build a good View.

It's more like a good client driven discovery.

Maybe client driven discovery is a bad idea at its core.

I don't know.

Many times, I discovered interesting old notes with Blowater's search feature and then I go to Coracle or Damus to interact with the actual note tree.

But you are right, focus is valuable and priceless.

Maybe you could prototype it in a separate product. That's what I've been doing with stuff like zephyr.coracle.social and calendar.coracle.social. That way you don't have to carry the tech debt once the experimentation is over
