Brave wants elevated permissions for install on macOS. Nope.
That would be the fault of the OS, not Brave...

What is Brave trying to install with admin privileges that others don’t? I like Brave but no longer install it on new computers because of this.
I have no idea but they do have customer service if you would like to contact them.
I'm sure lots of people with macOS us Brave.
