The ONLY way to fix this situation is proper automated testing of zaps, which hasn't been done before (as far as i know), at scale. We've been doing it, and you'll see that we've helped many users to realize that they need to set up a working Lightning address.

It's a good question. DMs on Nostr are a mess unfortunately, and generally most users won't get them, don't know where to find them, or worse. Actually, when users want support, we at this point usually direct them to Signal or another messenger, because usually the user can't receive our Nostr DMs....
