I live in a third world place where movies are subsidezed by commies and their fellow cronies. I know the drill.
Coincidentally grand majority of them are box office local failures. Because people don't like them. Rarely they might gain sympathy, Oscars and stuff... but the money laundry and waste of limited resources don't worth it.
Movies serve as Propaganda tool nowadays. It's disgusting.
Especially in a country of immigrants without a serious autoctone cultural history.
