You know, that's kind of funny because I was wondering how to approach this in an article I was writing about Nostr. I dusted off an old one that I was writing that was supposed to be an explainer of kind of how to use Nostr on a high level. And I had a hard time figuring out how to approach DVM's and I still don't really think I have a great solution. I do like the name as well. But if you're coming from a traditional social media experience and you're already trying to wrap your head around public and private keys, and then zaps, and then relays, throwing DVM's into the mix, assuming your client supports it is a whole nother can of worms.

I mean a client could just name them whatever they wanted to name them. I think amethyst avoids the term. Let me just doublecheck.
Amethyst also labels them 'free'. I can't actually see any that cost anything to use. Not sure who would pay for that either
Amethyst calls them Note Discovery, which is a good name. Less cyberpunk than DVM but also less confusing.
