It don't matter since the code is open source & pretty damn solid both server side & client side

There again is something we need to trust on Threema's side .. Make a traceroute on you SimpleX Server you are connected with and you will see that you messages go to american Cloudproviders!

its the same on here all depending on how people host there shit ..

but as like here you can change Relays to FLUX nodes or your own if you want and it dont..

but again like with TOR all good will get taken over if we dont care to host it ourself
