It don't matter since the code is open source & pretty damn solid both server side & client side
There again is something we need to trust on Threema's side .. But like with Tor browser or nodes relays if only governments run it they could probably track something so help decentralized the internet 😅

its the same on here all depending on how people host there shit ..
but as like here you can change Relays to FLUX nodes or your own if you want and it dont..
but again like with TOR all good will get taken over if we dont care to host it ourself
