Crazy thought, hear me out:

Trump’s meme coin was a way to raise quick cash so he can put together a group of investors and make a deal to buy TikTok. The meme coin was never about long term investment.

He sees an opportunity to “save the day” and own something that is a cash cow in a wildly popular, widely use social media app.

Just a crazy thought.

Trump wanted TikTok banned 5 years ago. He's the one that started this all. There's no need to attempt to make sense of it with mental gymnastics. He's a scammer. It's that simple.
