There are four major abstraction foundations for a civilization.

Information

Imagination

Capital

Trust

Bitcoin fixes Capital.

Nostr fixes Trust.

The next step to secure our foundation is to build a protocol for imagination and innovation. Something like Github, but built on an open data system like Nostr, IPFS, or something else that would allow people to see proposals, comment on them, fork them for improvements, and we could trace the development of any and all technological development in all sectors. Merge in the Copyright, Trademark and Patent office data collections from the US and around the world. We can use open source and creative commons to build the network and ensure the system is secure for inventors and developers.

The last step is to create a data repository and standards of data storage that can identify what is open, what needs secured and what needs hidden. Think a global protocol version of Wikipedia, but editors can't delete or strong arm the articles to say what they want it to say, and can't delete anything for being "not important enough". The Open Data Institute is ready and waiting.

I would use this stuff. If images, videos, audio, etc, were all easily uploaded and made into torrents the experience could be decentralized and familiar if the nostr clients accommodated for it.

Nostr is still primitive but it can for sure catch up. Sovereign computing is on the rise. It’ll take time of course. But it will happen.

Wow. I did not expect an answer like this at all. Will have to reread it a few times though.
